BUYING GUIDE ยท DELIVERY AND COST
Plan the scope before comparing sales simulation prices
A software license and a facilitated workshop are not the same purchase. Compare the business objective, scenario work, participant access and trainer responsibilities before deciding what a quote includes.

Separate the parts of the purchase
Platform access covers the software and the applicable account or participant entitlements. A trainer may also provide scenario review, customization, preparation, live facilitation and a debrief. Those services are not automatically included in every access arrangement.
Ask who is responsible for each part and how it will be priced. Clarify preparation, delivery days, participant access, support and follow-up. This guide explains the questions to ask; it is not a published international tariff or a binding quotation.
What changes the delivery scope
The complexity of the learning brief matters. An existing reviewed scenario may require less adaptation than a new industry or customer situation. The audience, number of teams, workshop schedule and facilitator involvement also affect preparation.
- Existing scenario or new customization and review
- Participant and team access requirements
- Facilitator preparation, delivery and debrief scope
- Remote or in-person logistics, connectivity and devices
- Any agreed travel, support and follow-up services
Evaluate the learning design before the quote
Ask to see the scenario structure, sample actions and how decisions are discussed afterward. Check that the activity teaches the intended customer behavior rather than only producing an energetic competition.
Agree what success will mean for the engagement. A specific debrief output and follow-up action are more informative than a general promise of higher sales. If business impact measurement is required, define a baseline and review plan rather than treating a workshop score as ROI.
Use a practical procurement checklist
Confirm the buyer and trainer roles, the approved data sources and whether learner materials have been reviewed. Check account permissions, device/network readiness and support arrangements. Do not infer contractual data commitments from a marketing paragraph.
Before accepting a proposal, request the actual commercial terms for platform access and services, cancellation or rescheduling arrangements and relevant privacy/security information. The exact agreement is determined by the authorized provider, not by a converted China procurement figure.
Use the free first chapter for the right purpose
Play Chapter 1 of The Second Curve to explore individual decisions and consequences. It requires no sign-up for that chapter and is a useful starting point for understanding the narrative mechanics.
It is not a free enterprise classroom, an included facilitator or a demonstration that your custom scenario is complete. For a team evaluation, discuss the audience and objective, review the platform and agree how a suitable scenario and session would be prepared.
Questions before you start
Does this page publish an international workshop price?
No. Workshop scope and pricing are agreed with the trainer or training provider. Current platform terms must be checked in the official account and purchasing flow; they are not interchangeable with delivery fees.
Is the free game a free team license?
No. Chapter 1 of The Second Curve is a free solo experience without sign-up. A facilitated team workshop, scenario customization and platform access have separate requirements and agreements.
Can you quote from a confidential account brief?
First agree which information is approved for use. An anonymized learning brief is often sufficient for initial scoping. Data permissions and confidentiality belong in the procurement review.
